Being our clinic mascot, she is the inspiration behind our "Pepper Club". She gets the best care having the BarburVet medical team at her discretion and we wanted to provide our clients the same level of service for their pets.

Veterinary Technical Team
BarburVet welcomed Rebecca to our team in September of 2015. She is a fifth generation Oregonian and has proudly called Portland her home since birth. She has had a desire to work with animals since childhood and have been in veterinary medicine since taking her first job at an animal shelter. She is still an active volunteer in the vet community working with several local groups that help pets in need.
Having a degree in English, Rebecca enjoys writing in her free time. As an avid cat lover, she currently shares her home with six adopted cats and one spoiled canine who has been declared the "princess"! BarburVet is very happy that Rebecca has joined us and her strengths interacting with our feline patients will put them at ease for a stress and "fear free" visit.
Jessica happily rejoined the BarburVet team in November of 2016. Jessica earned her AAS from the College of Southern Idaho in 2006 and then obtained her license as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2007. The past five years she has been working in cardiology specialty practice and decided to delve back into general practice. Veterinary medicine is a passion for Jessica and she thrives on the opportunity to be involved in the paramount care of companion animals and their guardians by extending her compassion, knowledge and experience.
The journey of veterinary medicine led Jessica to her second passion, yoga. In December of 2016, Jessica completed her 200 hour teacher training with CorePower yoga. Jessica feels yoga has been a great compliment to the stressors and joys experienced in veterinary medicine. Her long term goals are to someday see these two passions fuse by teaching yoga to fellow veterinary professionals to help alleviate stress and achieve balance through the fundamentals of yoga.
Jessica shares her life with her ball-driven yellow Labrador named “Hunter,” a lazy rescue bulldog/boxer mix named “Ondi,” and “Miss China,” her beautiful and ever-demanding lilac point feline. We at BarburVet are so happy to add Jessica's enthusiasm to our team!
Pearl joined BarburVet May 2016. She grew up in the beautiful foothills of Mt. Rainier and moved to Portland in 2013.
Pearl's exposure to veterinary medicine began at birth as her mother is a retired veterinarian. As a young adult, Pearl initially thought she would pursue a career in human nursing. She became an AKC certified dog trainer as a hobby and this ignited a desire to redirect her path back to her veterinary roots.
Pearl enjoys baking, Netflix and salsa dancing. She shares her home with a 2 yr old Mini Juliana Pig named P.Iggy Smalls who is a self proclaimed "princess of the house". She also has a young bundle of energy Boston Terrier "Frankie" and a Tortoiseshell cat "Falon" who is full of cattitude!
BarburVet is thrilled to have Pearl here to utilize her passion and strength in providing compassionate support to both owners and their loved pet during office visits or medical procedures.
